T.G. Herring

T.G. was born on October 12, 1931 in Crosby County, Texas to Guy and Radie Herring.

He married the love of his life, Darleene Brown on April 27, 1959 in Lubbock. He was a longtime farmer and rancher in the area and an active member of the Odd Fellows, American Jersey Cattle Club, Star Dairy Farmer of the Southern Region and American Farmer Degree. He was an active member of Oakwood Baptist Church. He was a devoted christian husband, father and friend.

He was survived by his wife of 52 years, Darleene; five children, Landa Hardin and her husband Ricky, Robert Harrison, Terri Bauer and her husband Bill and Kelly Herring and his wife Robbie, 9 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and one sister; Laverne Pingle

He was preceded in death by his parents, 6 siblings, one daughter, Beverly Elwell and one grandson, Nathan Elwell

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, October 18, 2011 at Resthaven Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers the family suggest donations be made to Oakwood Baptist Church, 6002 Ave U, Lubbock, Texas 79412.
