Tiwana was born to Glyma and Sibyl Coffey on July 12, 1939 in Littlefield, Texas. She graduated from Lubbock High School in 1957. She went on to obtain an Associate’s Degree from the recently founded Lubbock Christian College and was a proud member of the very first graduating class of LCC in 1959.
Tiwana married Bob Maloney on May 14, 1959 and had two children. Once both of the kids were in school, Tiwana began work in the gift-wrapping department of Hemphill-Wells department store, where she worked for many years until the store’s closure. She then had a long career at Dunlap’s department store working in the gift-wrapping, layaway and post office departments, then becoming the store’s bookkeeper for many additional years. Tiwana and Bob enjoyed 66 years of marriage until Bob’s passing in June 2025.
Bob and Tiwana were faithful, deeply-committed and active members of the South Plains Church of Christ in Lubbock, Texas. They began and led a ministry to provide funeral meals to grieving families for over 30 years before handing it over to Bob’s nephew and wife to continue. They were active members of the Friendship Class and enjoyed participating in many class activities over the years. They moved to Fort Worth in 2022 to be closer to family and were members of Woodland West Church of Christ in Arlington. They had a passion for travel and serving others in their home church. Her greatest love was her family and nothing brought her more joy than being together with all her family.
