

He was married to Katheren Rogers Chaney on March 10, 1956, in Lubbock, Texas. Tom worked as a cowboy, a truck driver, and a warehouse foreman. He was also a deacon and a Sunday School teacher for his church.
Tom had a passion for horses, gardening, fishing, his dogs, dominoes, his western records, his church, and coffee.
He is survived by his daughter, Linda Lewis; sons, Tom Chaney, Billy Chaney, Troy Chaney, Don Chaney, Richard Chaney, David Chaney, and Travis Chaney; daughters-in-law; siblings, Gene Chaney and Nora York. Tom had many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Tom was preceded in death by his wife, Katheren; his daughter, Della Chaney; his grandchildren, Suzanna Collum and Jon Phillip Chaney; his siblings, Bill Chaney and Minnie Mae Warren.
