
Tonya Weatherly Viaille passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by her loving family on Friday, April 7, 2017. We will gather for fellowship and remembrance from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, April 9, 2017, at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers. Family and friends will gather to celebrate her life of 49 years on Monday, April 10, 2017, at 2 p.m. at Lake Ridge Chapel. A tribute of Tonya’s life may be found at www.memorialdesigners.net, where you may leave memories and expressions of sympathy for her family.A lifelong resident of Lubbock, Tonya was born on August 23, 1967, to Jack and Pat (Moore) Weatherly. She graduated from Coronado High School and attended Wayland Baptist University, South Plains College and Texas Tech University. She worked for the American Bank of Commerce and First United Bank as a Teller Supervisor and in New Accounts. Tonya married the love of her life, Paul Viaille on November 9, 1991, and they have two children, Adam and Lexie. Tonya was a stay home mom and enjoyed homeschooling Adam and Lexie for many years. She was a former member of Bacon Heights Baptist Church and attended Hillside Christian Church. Having fought the battle with Parkinson’s disease, Tonya was an active member of the Parkinson’s Association for several years. She enjoyed reading and sewing. Tonya’s character was one of selflessness and always caring for others. Above everything, she loved Jesus and had a strong faith in God that carried her through until He called her home.She was preceded in death by her father; her grandparents; and her father and mother-in-law.Tonya is survived by her husband, Paul; beloved children, Adam and Lexie; mother, Pat Weatherly all of Lubbock; a sister, Tammy Saunders and husband Clark of Coppell; two sisters-in-law, Carolyn Anderson and husband Tom of Lynden, WA, and, Jo Emmons and husband Larry of Georgetown; eight nieces and nephews, Samantha, C.J., Mark and Chrissie Saunders, Kristi and Rick Anderson, Jeff Emmons, and Jennifer Sims.
