Vesta was born October 14, 1924 in Goodnight, Texas to Nell and John Gamble. She attended school in Goodnight, Texas and continued her education at North Texas State University. She enjoyed oil painting, playing bridge, and spending time with her family and friends at the beach or the mountains. She loved children and dogs and extended her love and kindness throughout her lifetime to both. She devoted much of her life to creating warm and welcoming homes for her family in cities extending from Texas to Alaska and many points in between. She and her husband Bill retired to Fredericksburg, in the Texas Hill Country in 1991.
She is survived by her daughter Elizabeth Howard, her son Steven Howard, grandchildren Kristi Schipper, Hillary Bordelon, Kyle Campbell and Paul Howard and 5 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters Mary Doose and Nancy Gamble, and her brother Gene Gamble. She was preceded to heaven by her husband Bill G. Howard and her daughter Beckey Campbell.
She will live in our hearts and be loved and missed every single day until we meet her again in heaven.
