Victor Coronado

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Victor Manuel Coronado, age 59, of Slaton, Texas, who left this world on June 16, 2025. Born on October 19, 1965, in Lamesa, Texas, Victor was a beloved son of Louis Alvear Sr. and Maria D. Iglesias.

Victor was a man of many passions, known for his dedication to truck driving and his unwavering commitment to serving others. He was an active member of Life Run and Life Ink. He cherished the time spent with family and friends, creating memories that will be treasured forever.

He leaves behind his siblings: (Sisters)Martha Medina (Richard) of Alabama, Esmeralda Perez (Tomas), Maria Ogeda (Ruben), Anavel Alvear of Lamesa, Graciela Hernandez (Alfredo) of Colorado, Norma Coronado of California, (Brothers)Louis Alvear, Jesse Alvear (Ashley) of Slaton, Jose Hernandez, Raymond Alvear of Lamesa, Andrew Alvear (Rayna) of Big Spring, Santiago Alvear of Lubbock, and Gilbert Perez, Jr. Coronado of Lubbock, Gilbert Gomez of Lamesa, along with 34 cherished nieces and nephews,35 great-nieces and nephews who will remember him fondly.

Victor was preceded in death by his parents, Louis Alvear Sr. and Maria D. Iglesias, grandparents, Sabastian and Ramona Iglesias, Ramon and Isabella Alvear, and his nephews, PFC Richard A. Medina Jr., Miguel Angel Morales.
