Virginia was born October 3, 1924 to James Lloyd and Chloe Rothermel Shoemaker and married Warren G. Waldrip on April 27, 1946 in O'Donnell, Texas. She was a 1946 graduate of Texas Tech University.
She is survived by her daughter Sharon Waldrip of Lubbock, son Travis and wife Ursula Miller-Waldrip of Colorado Springs, CO, and three grandchildren, Kevin and Erik Waldrip of Colorado Springs, CO, and Kate Waldrip of Canon City, CO.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Warren and her three brothers Lloyd, William and Robert Shoemaker and sister Eloise Barton.
