She graduated from South Plains College in 1977, with a degree in Human Services. She was a life member of Parent Teachers Association. She retired from Lubbock State School in 1986.
Preceded in death by parents, husband J.C. and son, David; two brothers, Charles and Curtis McCormack; two sisters, Doris Geer and Cheryl Crosswhite.
She is survived by son, James Parker; daughter, Sharon (Jim) Meek; brother, Douglas (Lucy) McCormack; 4 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great-grandchildren; nephews and nieces and many friends.
