Wanda was born September 10, 1927, in Lubbock, to C.F. Selman and Lucile (Shanks) Selman.
Wanda married the love of her life, Gerald Lawson, on March 21, 1959, and they were blessed to have 40 years together. She is well known for her hugs and smiles for everyone that come into her presence and her love of reading. She was Mom Lawson to so many children through the years.
Wanda is survived by sister, Nola Joyce Cole; her son, Robert Lawson and his wife Pam of Lubbock; daughter Laura Camper of Lubbock; son, David Lawson and his wife Vicki of Lubbock; grandchildren, Gary Evans, Greg Evans, Johnny Camper, Patricia Zoppel, Abigail Lawson, Samuel Lawson, and Daniel Lawson; great-grandchilden, Raizer (Rae) Evans, Alyssa, Zachary, Demus, Brayden, Alaster, Jace, Will, and Oliver; and many nieces and nephews.
Wanda is preceded in death by her parents Coin and Lucile Selman; sister, Ruby Geraldine Selman (Aunt D); brother-in-law, Jack Cole; and daughter, Darlene Evans.
Visitation will be Tuesday, January 18, 2022, from 5:00PM - 7:00PM at Resthaven Funeral Home. A funeral service for Wanda will be held at 10:00AM, Wednesday, January 19, 2022, at Resthaven Funeral Home Abbey Chapel.
