Wanda "Nanny" Dunn

Visitation will be held Sunday, November 25, 2012 from 5 to 7 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home.

Graveside service will be on Monday, November 26, 2012 at 2 PM at Resthaven Memorial Park.

Wanda was born February 7, 1927 in Lubbock County to Alfred and Meva Lou (Council) Duncan. She married J.C. (Jake) Dunn on February 8, 1946 in Woodrow, Texas.

Nanny loved to read and was referred to as a “book of knowledge” by her family. She enjoyed writing poetry for family and friends. She was employed for 25 years with Highland Hospital in the dietary department. She was an excellent cook. She was involved in the farming and agriculture community in the Woodrow area. She was a loving wife, mom, grandmother and great grandmother who loved and enjoyed her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, J.C. (Jake) Dunn, son, Jimmy Dunn, brothers, Vestal Duncan and Donald Duncan and sister, Mildred (Tookie) Norman.

Nanny is survived by her children, Judy Hunley and husband, Sam, Kathy Cloud and husband, Johnny both of Lubbock, Randy Dunn and wife, Brenda of Pampa and Terri Bonner and husband, Wayne of Lubbock; daughter in law, Barbara Dunn of Lubbock and sister, Maureen Bourland of Brownwood along with 13 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
