Wanda Nelson

Celebration of life services for Wanda Nelson, 79, of Lubbock will be held at 10 am, Saturday, September 3, 2011 at Resthaven’s Abbey Chapel with Dr. Richard Rush officiating. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 pm, Friday, September 2, 2011 at Resthaven Funeral Home.

Wanda went to be with her Savior, Wednesday August 31, 2011.

Wanda Fay was born March 18, 1932 in Paducah, Texas to the late Henry and Juanita (Clay) Lester. She graduated from Spur High School. Wanda married the love of her life, Thomas Nelson, April 24, 1954 in Spur, Texas. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church where she was active in the Pillow Ministry.

Those left to honor and cherish her memory are her loving husband, Thomas, sons; Eddy Nelson and wife, Ann of Snyder, Timothy Nelson and wife, Melanie of Levelland, daughter; Tamara Ramsey and husband, Art of Sanderson, Texas sister; Dorothy Roberts of Lubbock, sister—in-laws; Peggy Boyd and husband Barry of Lubbock, Freddie Buchanan of Abilene, and grandsons; Cooper, Colter and Carver Tate.
