

Wanda Price, age 94, of Lubbock, Texas, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 6, 2025.
Wanda was born in Cordell, Oklahoma, to Arthur and Lois Stafford. She married the love of her life, Jerrell Price, and together they shared nearly 50 years of marriage before his passing in 2001. Wanda and Jerrell were well known in the Lubbock community for their hospitality and entrepreneurship, having owned and operated several restaurants, including the Gridiron and the 50 Yard Line.
A devoted member of Second Baptist Church, Wanda lived a life rooted in faith, friendship and service. She was active in the Lubbock Women’s Club, the Symphony Guild, and Achievement Rewards for College Scientists (ARCS), a local organization dedicated to supporting university students in pursuit of academic excellence and scholarship. She was also a proud member of Delta Delta Delta at Texas Tech University.
Wanda is survived by her children, Jouana Stravlo, Shawna (Guy) Yarborough and Amy (Joe) Myrick; her grandchildren, Tyson Yarborough, Brennan Stravlo, Brandt (Amber) Stravlo, Ashley (Scott) Swindoll, Mackenzie Myrick, Molly Myrick, and Madeline Myrick; and her great-grandchildren, Kamdyn Swindoll, Kirklynn Swindoll, Beau Stravlo, Autumn Stravlo, and Baylor Stravlo.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerrell Price; her parents, Arthur and Lois Stafford; and her siblings, Arthur Stafford, Perry Hornak, and Flo Orndorff.
A celebration of Wanda’s life will be held on Friday, November 14, 2025, from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers, 6025 82nd St., Lubbock, TX 79424.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Alzheimer’s Association or the Museum of Texas Tech University Association.
Wanda will be remembered for her grace, wisdom, generosity and the warmth she extended to all who knew her.
