I just now saw this in the paper. My heart is broken! She was a special friend to me and my boys and I loved her and her mother very much. She was a blessing to have and I am honored to have been able to call her "friend". She will be missed. It is the assurance of the saving grace offered by our Lord Jesus that sustains us during times like these, yes?  What a special, special lady your mom was- she spoke life and kindness into me during our conversations.  I'm blessed for having known her.  We can all anticipate the day we again get to share time with her.  Blessings on each of you and the whole family.

Steve, I really enjoyed getting to know Waureka.  I remember us having a great time at your wedding in Las Vegas, all of the good meals at her house and especially remember that she always wanted to come and see us when we were in Lubbock to visit you and Wendy.  God will welcome her with open arms. Our love and prayers are with you and your family.  John and Momma P.

May your love carry on through those you have left behind, and live long in the kingdom of the lord. i believe Mrs. Waurika Humprey wouldn't have wanted us to mourn her death but reloice in the knowing that she has gone home to her heavenly father and the burden of age, aches, and pain has been relieved.

I heard countless stories from the Hallford kids about the time they got to spend with Waurika in these past few months. What a blessing for the Lord to allow her to spend that time surrounded by those she loved.

What a beautiful lady and we are so blessed to have known her.  Her sweet, sweet spirit will bring a smile to my heart every time that I think of her.

I praise the Lord that Arthur and Brenda brought her mom into their home and we had the chance to meet her before she went home to Jesus. She was a beautiful, graceful woman who loved the little babies! Her presence in our church family will be dearly missed.

Memories, love and laughter... My favorite memory of Waurika was when Brenda invited me to join her, Waurika and Ashlyn for dinner at Red Lobster.  Oh... Waurika got so mad at Brenda for fussing over her about a cold - from the month before!  It was hysterical... Play those great memories over again and again in your heart.

I didn't get the opportunity to know Waurika personally, but hearing Jamie and Meagan talk about her and how special she has been to them, I know she was a tremendous blessing.  She will be missed.

I know that, because of what you've already been through, you have the strength to get through this.  Lean on that strong lady you call "wife" and your daughters and together you could conquer the world.  I think of y'all often.

I will miss you more than anyone can imagine.  I know I'll be shopping or pass a bingo place and Rika will pop into my thoughts.  I'll want to pick up the phone to call to tell you something, a joke or talk about football.  Just knowing you are with our Lord will comfort me and your children.  My sister, I love you.
