He was preceded in death by wife, Sharon Dixon; mother, Delores Dixon; and father, David Dixon.
He is survived by two children: son, Ronald Dixon; daughter, Dana Stovall ; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He is also survived by three sisters: Catherine and Gerry King of Odessa,Joyce and Ted Boyd of Lubbock, and Loretta Carlegis of Ft. Worth.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, June 1, 2017 at Resthaven Funeral Home. Services will be at 10:oo a.m., Friday, June 2, 2017 in the Abbey Chapel at Resthaven Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to Lubbock Children's Home, Boys Ranch, or a charity of your choosing.
