William Roy McEachern Jr.

Mr. McEachern, known as “Bill”, was born in Anton, Texas to William “Roy” and Lillian (Clark) McEachern. He graduated from Lubbock High School in 1949. He joined the Navy in 1951 and was given an honorable discharge in 1955 after serving during the Korean War. After his military service he trained to be an electrician and was a member of the IBEW for over 60 years.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Lynda; his father Roy McEachern, Sr. and mother Lillian.

He is survived by a son Larry McEachern and his wife Trisha of Lubbock; their daughters, Lindsey Cowan, her husband, Kurht and their two daughters Breckyn and Grey Cowan of Lubbock; and Allyson McEachern of Lubbock; and a daughter D’Ann Thompson and her husband Clark of Allen, Texas; their daughters, Rachel Farmer and husband Layne of Phoenix, AZ; and Brittany Thompson of Olney. Mr. McEachern is also survived by a sister Dixie Jones of Lake Dallas; and a brother David McEachern of Lubbock.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or the American Cancer Society.

A visitation will be held from 12 noon until 12:45 pm on Saturday, March 31, 2018 at Resthaven Funeral Home, with a graveside service following at 1 PM in Resthaven Memorial Park.
