W.J. "Dub" Blake

Dub was born on May 3, 1931 in San Angelo, Tx to Frank and Luna Blake.

Dub was raised in San Angelo, graduated from Lubbock High School and served in the Navy during the Korean War. He graduated from Texas Tech in 1958. He was a long time resident of Lubbock and Sweetwater where he owned Blake Feeder Systems and Blake & Co.

He is survived by his children, Donny Blake of Savannah, Ga, Keith Blake of Burbank, Ca and Melanie Blake MacLaird of Fredericksburg, Va., sister, Dorothy Grosshans of San Angelo, grandchildren: Brian Blake of Savannah, Ga, Christopher MacLaird of Fredericksburg, Va, Kyle MacLaird of Norfolk, Va, Hope MacLaird of McLean, Va and Taylor Blake of Burbank, Ca., step-children, Sheri Steele of Houston Coni Sims of Austin and Mike Fry of Waco.

He was preceeded in death by his wife Thelma Fry Blake and his sister Dee Walker.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, Sept 23, 2010 from 3-7 pm at Resthaven Funeral Home and a graveside service will be held on Saturday, Sept 25, 2010 at 2:00 pm at Lawnhaven Memorial Park, San Angelo, Tx.
