Yolanda G. Rodriguez was born on November 22nd, 1954, in Martindale TX. She was the daughter of Feliz and Jesus Garza. On December 15th, 2021, she passed away in her home peacefully at 67 years old, in the presence of loved ones from pancreatic cancer.
Yolanda grew up in Lubbock Texas and started working at the Reese Air Force base in Lubbock where later she met her husband, Jose Luis Rodriguez, and eventually married him on June 18, 1977. Yolanda has 2 daughters Elizabeth R. Martinez and Angelica R. Adame.
Yolanda was a long-time church member of St. Theresa’s Catholic Church in Carlisle Tx since the 1960s and remained there until she made her departure.
In Yolanda’s following years after her two children, she was given one of her most treasured titles, becoming a grandmother of five and treating them as her own until she left. Yolanda (Yoly), loved garage saling, shopping, and spending time with her family.
Yolanda is survived by her husband of 44 years Jose Luis Rodriguez, siblings Josie Brigham, Arturo Garza, Santiago Garza, Nelda Garza, Mary Mata, Maryann Garza, Jessie Garza, Raquel Gonzalez, and Ruben Garza. She is preceded in death by both her parents and sisters Irene Garza and Flor Moreno.
In dedication to Yolanda's passing away, she will have a closed casket visitation on Tuesday, December 21st at 6 pm and a rosary to follow at 7 pm. The next day she will have a Funeral mass at 10 am all at Saint Theresa Catholic Church. Yolanda era un tesoro para su familia.
