Earl Richard Twitchell

Earl R. Twitchell, age 80 passed away Friday May 15, 2015 at Rutland Regional Medical Center.

He was born in Pittsfield, VT March 31, 1935 the son on Charles A. and Margaret R. (Blanchard) Twitchell

Earl attended Claremont NH and Rochester VT schools. Mr. Twitchell was a veteran of the United States Army serving four years during the Korean War. On August 27, 1993 he married Viola Holton in Ludlow.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and most of all the little ones.

He worked in various shops as a mechanic and for the Town of Ludlow at the Transfer and recycling station.

He is survived by his wife, Viola Twitchell of Ludlow; two daughters, Donna Holton of Ludlow and Linda Holton of Springfield; three sons, Rodney Holton and companion Mary of Springfield, Ronald Holton of Ludlow and Leon Holton and his wife Val of Stevensville, Montana; 6 grandsons, 1 granddaughter , 3 great granddaughters, and 4 great grandsons. He is also survived by his brother Frank Twitchell and his wife Norma, his sister Mary Plummer and her companion Mike, all of Rochester, VT.

Besides his parents he was predeceased by his brothers Albert and Robert of Rochester and Alfred of Hancock as well as a number of nieces and nephew.

Graveside committal services will be held on Friday May 22, 2015 at 12:20 PM in the Pleasant View Cemetery, Ludlow.
