Eunice M. Cahill

Eunice M. Cahill, 89 passed away peacefully Tuesday March 8, 2016 at Springfield Hospital. She was born in Springfield, VT September 27, 1926 the daughter of Glen and Irene (Bingham) Litchfield. She attended schools in Springfield and graduated in 1946. On August 2, 1946 she married Everett Cahill in Springfield. Eunice worked at the Good Health Center in Ludlow and also worked as a Chef at Black River Valley Senior Center after her husband passed away. Eunice enjoyed crafts, gardening , fishing and family picnics. She was a member of the Ludlow Baptist Church and the Black River Valley Senior Center.

Eunice is survived by her 2 sons, Loren Cahill of Wallingford and James Cahill of Springfiled; 4 Daughters, Mionia Peterson of White River Jct, VT, Lorrie LaPell of Benson, Charlene Baker of Ascutney and Cynthia Cahill of Forestdale; 2 brothers, Leon Lithfield of Arizona and and Roy Litchfield of Castleton.

Also surviving are 12 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.

She was predeceased by her husband Everett, two sons, Edward Cahill and Morton Cahill, 3 brothers, William, Lyle and Walter.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday March 12th at 11:00 am at the Ludlow Baptist Church. Calling hours will be held one hour prior the service at the church. A reception will follow in the church fellowship hall.

Graveside committal services and interment will take place at a later date in the Pleasant View Cemetery, Chester.
