Rose Marie Frye

Rose Marie Frye 69, of Ludlow passed away peacefully on Friday May 20th 2016, at home surrounded by her loved ones. Rose was born in Springfield, VT on July 1st 1946, the daughter of Merritt D. & Esther M. Sheldon.

Rose grew up in the Proctorsville/Cavendish area. She married Albert at the young age of 19, Albert was 21. They had a beautiful loving relationship of over 50 years.

Rose was active in the American Legion Ballard Hobart Post #36 Auxiliary for 50 years. She and Albert were life long active members of the Tyson Congregational Church. Rose enjoyed all kinds of crafting, sewing and painting as well as gardening in her many flower gardens.

For over the past 20 years Rose was employed with the Ludlow Electric Department. Rose also spent many years as the sole caretaker for her mother Esther.

Rose is survived by her loving husband of over 50 years Albert, her son Albert Frye Jr. of Proctorsville, VT, and her daughter Jenny Frye-Brown of Long island, NY., 5 grand children which she loved so very much, several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.

Rose was pre deceased by an infant sister, her brother Vernon D. Sheldon and both parents.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday May 28th at 2:00 PM at the Cavendish Village Cemetery on High Street in Cavendish, VT. A reception will immediately follow at the American Legion Ballard Hobart Post #36 in Ludlow, VT.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in her memory to the American Legion Ballard Hobart Post #36 Auxiliary.
