Adam Joseph "Woogie" Danner

Adam Joseph "Woogie" Danner, 89, of the Carnes community, Mississippi, passed away on September 3, 2026. Born in New Orleans, Louisiana, on December 2, 1936, he built a life defined by quiet strength, an unrelenting work ethic, and a profound connection to the land.

A graduate of Warren Easton High School, he went on to earn a Bachelor of Mathematics with a minor in Chemical Engineering from Tulane University. Over the course of his working life, he applied his sharp mind and practical hands across diverse paths, owning his own farm with a dairy, growing crops, and then working as a school maintenance engineer. Above all, he was a man who preferred the seat of a Caterpillar bulldozer over retirement and seeing the world, finding deep fulfillment in seeing the tangible fruits of his labor.

He was a gentle man who loved animals, and animals naturally loved him. Honest, hardworking, and steady, his presence provided a quiet anchor for his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Adam and Rose Danner; his sister, Audrey Spear; his wife of 50 years, Dianne Danner; and his son, Adam Danner.

He is survived by his children and their families:

- Adam Danner's 4 children and 8 grandchildren.

- Patricia Occhiogrosso and husband Angelo, along with their 6 children, 21 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild.

- Ronald Danner and wife Debbie, along with their 4 children and 9 grandchildren.

- Pete Danner and wife Heidi, along with their 7 children and 7 grandchildren.

Family and friends are invited to attend Woogie's graveside service on Friday, September 11, 2026 at 10:00 AM at J.P. Bounds Memorial Cemetery in Carnes, Mississippi.
