Bob Mirl Allen, 77, of Lumberton, Mississippi, passed away on Wednesday, August 1, 2018 in Forrest General Hospital, Hattiesburg, surrounded by family.

Mirl was born June 3, 1941 in Cullman, Alabama to Onis Jack Allen and Winnie Christine Hall Allen. He was a retired Iron Worker; of the Pentecostal faith; and a veteran of the Mississippi Army National Guard. He was an avid hunter and fisherman; and above all; grandchildren and family were most important to him.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his first wife, Mildred J. Allen; one son, James David Allen; one brother, Melvin Allen; and two sisters, Winnie Fay Smith and Johnnie Ruth Bush.

Family members include three daughters, Mildred Teresa (Kevin) Pardue, Rebecca (Keith) Pardue, Christeen Geneva Allen; three sons, Bobby Eugene (Laura) Allen, Curtis Wade (Heather) Allen, Michael Logan Allen; three brothers, Homer (Sue) Allen, Kermit (Caroline) Allen, Ray (Wanda) Allen, Rex Allen; eleven grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at White Funeral Home, 102 North 1st Street, Lumberton, MS, 39455 on Sunday, August 5, 2018 at 2:00 pm. Rev. Larry Head will officiate the service. Burial will follow in Landrum Cemetery, 811 Hickory Grove Road, Lumberton, MS, 39455. The family will receive friends and have visitation from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm, Saturday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Kendall Odom, Keith Odom, Tony Sylvester, Robert Allen, Dakota Seal, and Brian Allen. Honorary pallbearers will be Dawson Allen, Jace Smith, and Austin Clardy.
