Coy Eugene Moore

Coy Eugene Moore, age 84, of Lumberton, Mississippi passed away on Thursday, May 6, 2021. He was born October 22, 1936 in Vivian, Louisiana. Coy was a perfect example of a loving husband, father, brother and friend to all he knew. He was married for 65 years to his high school sweetheart and soul mate, he modeled what the vows of marriage should look like. Coy was so very proud of his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and loved all of them with all his heart. He will be missed greatly, but his legacy of love, devotion and of integrity will live on.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Conway and Georgia Moore and one sister, Reba Moore Lowe.

Coy is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Jo Moore; four children, Connie Barrett (Bob), Chrissie Swilley (Howard), Bryan Moore (Rebecca) and Mark Moore (Chris); one sister, Elizabeth Swilley (Terry), 11 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to attend Coy's celebration of life service on Sunday, May 16, 2021 at Lumberton United Methodist Church, 410 W 11th Ave, Lumberton, MS. Visitation will be held from 1pm until 2 pm followed by a graveside service in Lumberton City Cemetery.
