Delores "Bubbles" Holston

Delores “Bubbles” Holston, of Lumberton, Mississippi, passed from this life into God’s presence on Sunday, June 11, 2023 at the age of 91. Born to Leslie and Geraldine Daughdrill, she was a lifelong resident of Lumberton. Known as Bubbles to everyone who knew her, she was a long time homemaker and a member of Hickory Grove Baptist Church. Bubbles loved to get her hands dirty working outside in the yard and garden, enjoyed reading books and especially the word of God. She would write her prayers down in a spiral bound notebook and when she could no longer write, she would say those prayers aloud. Her family and friends knew that she loved them, they knew that she prayed for them.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Jack Holston; her son, Donnie Davis; grandson, Brett Schielder; great-granddaughter, Emily Rawls; brother, Leslie Daughdrill Jr.; and two sisters, Kathryn Essary and Sherry Beall.

Left to forever cherish her memory are her daughters, Debbie Rawls, Nancy Pulley (Danny) and Teresa Poston (Robert); sisters, Mona Stewart and Linda Pate; grandchildren, David Rawls, Shana Rawls, Lindsey Martin, Caleb Davis, Clint Lee, Niki Robinson, Kari Schlautman, Lauri Gardner, Justin Poston, D.J. Pulley, Shanna Istre, and Dane Pulley; 21 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services, officiated by Reverend Jesse Ladner, will be held at White Funeral Home of Lumberton on Thursday, June 15, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. Friends are invited to join the family for visitation from 10:00 A.M. until service time. Burial will follow in Hickory Grove Cemetery assisted by Clint Lee, Kyle Robinson, Justin Poston, Tyler Schielder, Ben Lee and Robert Poston serving as pallbearers. Will Rawls and Jack Rawls will serve as honorary pallbearers.
