Saranda Reid

Saranda Reid departed this life into God’s presence on Friday, May 30, 2025 at the age of 70, a lifelong resident of Lamar County. She worked for Movie Star for over 30 years and was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Lumberton, Mississippi. Saranda was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who loved shopping.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Jake and Evelyn Hendrix.

Left to forever cherish Saranda’s memory is her loving husband of 45 years, Joe Reid; one daughter, Erika Reid; one son, Stormy Joe Reid (Jennifer); two sisters, Glenda Dickinson (the late James) and Vanessa Hartfield (John); one brother, Terry Hendrix (Betty); six grandchildren, Zachary Reid, Christopher Reid, Nellie Reid, Emmie Reid, Torri Reid and William Reid and one step-granddaughter, Allie Perkins.

Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation for Saranda on Sunday, June 1, 2025 at White Funeral Home, 102 North 1st Street, Lumberton, Mississippi from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm. Funeral Services will begin at 1:00 pm. Burial will follow in Entrekin Cemetery, Lumberton, Mississippi.
