Shelbie Jean Tharp

She was preceded in death by husband, Rodney Harold Tharp; parents, Leonard and Velia Britt; brother, James “Tittle” Howard Britt; and sister, Mary “Pete” Frances Floyd.

Left to cherish her memories are children, Sherrian McKim of Asheville, Teresa Mesa (Rod) and Cynthia Browning of Lumberton, and Regina Bouma (Bobby) of Texas; 10 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren; sisters, Quessie Wilcox of Lumberton, and Mattielene Shockley of Raeford; and brother, Wilton “Tom” Britt (Helen) of Orrum.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, November 23, 2014 in Biggs Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. prior to the service.

She will be laid to rest in Meadowbrook Cemetery.
