LUMBERTON — Virginia Parnell Gale, 95, of Lumberton, passed away Oct. 20, 2014, at Wesley Pines.

The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Biggs Funeral Home Chapel. She will be laid to rest in Gardens of Faith.

She was a lifetime member of First Presbyterian Church of Lumberton, where she sang in the choir for 50 years.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Linda Canaday; and 11 brothers and sisters.

Left to cherish her memories are her son, Bill Wright and wife Mary Ann of Little River, S.C.; her granddaughters, Joy Rudd (Bill) of Summerville, S.C., and Bonny Thomas of Timonsville, S.C.; and three great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday before the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Linda Canaday Scholarship Fund: Kiwanis International Foundation 3636 Woodview Trace, Indianapolis, Ind., 46268.
