Cyril J. Babin peacefully entered into eternal rest on Wednesday June 13, 2012 at 6:10 am. He was born in Paulina and was a resident of Lutcher. He was the loving husband of 48 years to the late Viola R. Babin. He proudly served in the Korean Conflict. He worked at Shell Oil in Norco for 30 years. Cyril was a member of the VFW and a dedicated member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. He is preceded in death by his parents Cyril S and Olivia L Babin, son in law John Chauvin, sisters Marie Louise Babin, Olivia McLean and Josephine Zeringue. He is survived by his seven children Robert Babin (Liz), Alice Wisniowiecki (Johnny), Jane Chmurka (Henry), Mary Chauvin ( friend Ferdie LeBlanc), Gail Roussel (Brent), Paul Babin (Hope), and Joan Hymel (Ivy) also survived by 24 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Friday June 15, 2012 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Paulina, LA from 8:00 to 10:45 following by Christian Mass at 11:00 am. Interment to follow in St. Joseph Mausoleum.
