Dwight "Santa" "Santa" Siears

“There are some happy little children in heaven because Santa Claus has come to town.” Dwight “Santa” Siears, age 62, passed away on Saturday, April 14, 2012 at Hospice of Baton Rouge after a heroic battle with mesothelioma. He was a native of Baton Rouge and a resident of Gonzales, LA.

He was the beloved husband for 44 years of Drucilla “Drudy” Stafford Siears, son of the late Marie Part and Frank R. Siears, father of Kenneth (Tori Floyd) Siears, Robert “Bobby” (Brandy Chilton) Siears, Dwight, Jr. “Spanky” (Alicia Gavagnie) Siears. The grandfather of Shae S. (Christopher “Tadd”), Talamantes, Samantha, Kade, Shelbi and Avery Siears. Godfather of Kristi Jacobs-Stanley and Trish Goodwin, the brother of Jackie Siears, Marie S. Alleman and Robbie S. Jacobs.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 18, 2012 from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm at H. C. Alexander Funeral Home in Lutcher and will continue on Thursday, April 19, 2012 from 9:00 am until 10:45 am at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Convent. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am at the church with Deacon Adams officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
