Wilmer "Joe" Poche

Wilmer “Joe” Poche, a retired sugarcane farmer, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on January 7, 2015. Joe was born April 5, 1932 a courageous and brave man of integrity. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Germaine Guidry Poche, his children; Eric Poche (Sherilyn), Grady Poche (Dana), Douglas Poche, Dina Richard (Bryant), and Clark Poche (Temple). He is also survived by his 11 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and 11 siblings. Joe was preceded in death by one brother and his parents Thomas and Lima Carmouche Poche.

He was a devout Catholic, a member of the VFW, Knights of Columbus, and a volunteer Firefighter for Paulina. Visitation will take place Friday, January 9, 2015 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Paulina, LA at 10 AM until Mass of Christian Burial at Noon. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Paulina, LA. In lieu of flowers please make donations to St. Joseph Catholic Church (United by Faith Campaign).
