Adele Bancroft Beront

Adele Bancroft Beront, 91, of Lynchburg, passed away, Wednesday, August 6, 2014, at her residence. She was the wife of the late Theodore Beront. Born October 20, 1922, in Portland, OR, she was the daughter of the late Bradley Bancroft and the late Pauline Goldstein Bancroft.

Adele was a retired legal secretary for Harold M. Goldberg, Esq., where she served for over 30 years. She was also a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church.

In addition to her husband and parents, Adele was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Heather Hoff.

Adele is survived by her son, Curtis L. Beront and his wife Nancy of Lynchburg; one granddaughter, Amber Marie Beront and her husband Jerimey Bodine of Cherry Valley, NY; and four great granddaughters, Adele Beront, Regina Hoff, Dannielle Hoff and Erica Hoff.

A funeral service will be conducted, 5:30 p.m., Friday, August 8, 2014, at Our Savior Lutheran Church with the Rev. Joel Wallschlaeger officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the church and at other times, Saturday, at the residence. The inurnment will take place at a later date at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.
