

Alberta Dickenson Orender, 95, of Lynchburg, went to meet her Lord, Sunday, March 20, 2011, at Lynchburg General Hospital. She was the wife of the late Roley Marion Orender. She was born August 5, 1915, in Wayne County, WV, to the late James Felix Dickenson and Thursia Fersuson Dickenson. She was the youngest of six children, and the last surviving member of the family.
Mrs. Orender was a homemaker and a member of Lynchburg Church of Christ on Leesville Road since 1983.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Orender is preceded in death by one son-in-law, W. Curtis Miller.
Mrs. Orender is survived by two daughters, Carol Sue Miller Akers and her husband Albert E. of Lynchburg and Linda O. Jessee and her husband Lewis D. of Lexington; five grandchildren, Cheryl Reklis and her husband Peter of Clemmons, NC, Robin Parker Wion of Bealeton, Cindy Gouge and her husband Bruce of Elizabethton, TN, Monte Jessee and his wife Fonda of Fairfield and Lynne Bissell and her husband Brandon of Ft. Campbell, KY; and eleven great-grandchildren, Megan Reklis Caudle, Michael Reklis, Cristy Gouge Lewis, Ryan and Sierra Gouge, Morgan and MacKenzie Parker, Adrienne and Madelyn Bissell and Raegan and Tyler Jessee.
The family will receive friends, 6-7:30 p.m., Tuesday, March 22, 2011, at Whitten Timberlake Chapel, 7404 Timberlake Rd., Lynchburg, VA, 24502, followed by a funeral service at 7:30 p.m., conducted by Ray Eure, Minister of Lynchburg Church of Christ.
Interment will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 23, 2011, at Grandview Memory Gardens in Bluefield, VA.
