Alice Harris Butt

Born on January 28, 1937 in Gladstone, she was the daughter of the late Irvin and Emma White Harris. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, William C. Butt, Sr. and her brother, Pete Harris.

She married the love of her life, William C. Butt, on December 19th, 1954. Alice and Bill went on to have five children, nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Alice was a woman of grace and class. She loved her family fiercely and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Alice and Bill enjoyed riding their motorcycle, traveling and family vacations.

She is survived by her five children; Debbie Ayres (Tony), W.C. Butt, Jr., Michael Butt (Sita), Cindy Dearing (Lee) and Mark Butt; nine grandchildren, Steve Clark, Bryan Clark, William C. Butt III, Adam Butt, Michelle Diehl, Randy Dearing, Ashlee Evans, Kendall Morlett and Kevin Butt.

The family would like to thank the staff at Runk & Pratt and Forest Health and Rehab for the love and care shown to Alice.

A graveside service celebrating her life will be conducted at Virginia Memorial Park on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Mack Almond officiating.
