Alice Major Carpenter, 89, of Monroe, passed away on Monday, April 21, 2014 at Heritage Green Assisted Living.

She was the wife of Atwell "Bunny" Carpenter.

Born on January 5, 1925 in Massachusetts she was the daughter of the late Eugene and Bertha Major.

Alice was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church. She was a talented painter and enjoyed knitting.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at 11 am at Fort Hill Memorial Park.
