Ann English Brown

Ann English Brown, 96, of Bedford, went to be with the Lord, Sunday, February 19, 2012, at Virginia Baptist Hospital. She was the wife of the late Wallace Chaptman Brown. Born November 1, 1915, in Campbell County, she was the daughter of the late Joseph English and the late Hattie Divers English.

Mrs. Brown was a homemaker and a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her son, Maynard C. Brown and her daughter.

Mrs. Brown is survived by her four grandchildren, David C. Brown and his wife Tasha of Forest, Troy W. Brown and his wife Kimberly of Madison Heights, Mike W. Brown and his wife Melanie of Forest and Anne Marie Brown and her fiancé Jacob Smith of Bedford; and eleven great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be conducted, 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 22, 2012, at Whitten Timberlake Chapel with the Rev. Keith Layne officiating. Interment will follow, 2:00 p.m. at Mountain View Memorial Park in Boones Mill, Virginia.

The family will receive friends, 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, February 21, 2012, at Whitten Timberlake Chapel.
