

Born April 18, 1921 in Lynchburg, he was predeceased by his wife of seventy-one years, Mozelle B. Parker and is survived by his sons, Ballard R. Parker, III (Betty W.) of Richmond and Michael A. Parker (Debra J.) of Wake Forest, NC. He is also survived by grandchildren, Jennifer P. Everett (Michael), Katherine P. Jonas (Ritter), M. Aaron Parker (Mary Downing), P. Logan Parker, M. Adam Parker, and four great-grandchildren.
Following his service in World War II with the Army’s 45th Infantry Division, Mr. Parker returned to work as Secretary/Treasurer of Virginia Laundry and Crutchfield Cleaners. He then managed Clean Craft Cleaners until his retirement. Mr. Parker was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, the American Legion, and was a 50 year member of Hill City Lodge #183 A,F. & A.M., as well as the Scottish Rite.
A graveside service will be held at Fort Hill Memorial Park at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, April 16, 2015 with the Rev. Steve Willis officiating.
