

Barbara Jean Lambert, 66, of Lynchburg passed away Thursday, April 16, 2015, at her residence. She was the wife of Charles David Lambert. Born March 4, 1949, in Lynchburg, she was the daughter of the late Harry Wyatt Simms and the late Virginia Sessler Simms.
Barbara was a homemaker, and she was a loving mother, grandmother and sister.
In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Brian Drinkard.
In addition to her husband, Barbara is survived by two daughters, Annette McClain and her husband Seth of Lynchburg and Charlene Drinkard of Concord; one son, Lee Van Horn and his wife Stephanie of Lynchburg; two sister, Virginia Rowland of Halifax and Delores Flowers of Lynchburg; one brother, Kenneth Fulcher and his wife Connie of Lynchburg; three grandchildren, Angel McClain, David McClain and Brandon McClain; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be conducted 11:00 a.m., Monday, April 20, 2015, at Whitten Timberlake Chapel with Pastor James Martin officiating. Interment will follow at Spring Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10-11 a.m., Monday, April 20, 2015, at Whitten Timberlake Chapel.
