Born on September 16, 1941 in Campbell County, he was the son of the late Morris and Elizabeth Rice.
In addition to his wife, he leaves behind four children, Rebecca Cook and husband Mike, Randall Rice and wife Ronda, Stewart Rice, and Roger Rice; six grandchildren, Bennett Lee Rice, Blake Cook, Sarah Rice, Michael Cook, Elijah Rice, and Autumn Rice; three great grandchildren, Zachary Rice, Ryan Rice, and Ayden Chandler; three sisters, Inez Keatts and husband Roy, Nancy Walker and husband Buck, and Debra Roberts; one brother, John Rice; brothers-in-law, James Hall and wife Ann and Don Roberts; three best friends, Sammy and Lana Beverly, Wanda Booth, and Elaine Wright.
The family will receive friends anytime at the residence.
