	“Stand tall Nan.”  This is a phrase that’s been repeated in my mind hundreds of times since I learned of your passing.  It encompasses so much about you and who you were. 

	My Nan was a tall woman by stature.  Always classy.  Always beautiful.  Always Godly.  But it is not her height that caused me to keep repeating the phrase, “Stand tall Nan.”  

	It was her strength in holiness.  

	Now that I’m older I can see and understand better the stand that my grandmother took for Godly standards and holiness.  I can see how difficult it must have been for her to watch the things that always mattered so much, begin to decline and matter so little.  However, she did not waver.  She did not change.  She “stood tall.”  

	At nearly 50 years old I cannot express my deep appreciation for her stand.  I realize that most grandchildren today will not be able to look to their grandparents and find that same thankfulness and I realize how blessed I am to say that I do.  

	What a legacy you left for us all.  One that will not be easily attained.  You obtained it through much Bible reading, prayer, and obedience.  Thank you Nan for standing tall. 

	It doesn’t matter that the last time I saw you you were lying down in a hospital bed.  Much smaller, and more frail than ever before.  But to me you were so beautiful and in my mind I thought you stood so tall.  

	Thank you Nan so very, very much for your example of Godliness and Holiness.  I am forever grateful.  “Stand tall Nan — Stand tall.”

So very sorry to hear of Sister Cooper passing. Sister Cooper was a smiling face that I would find when a convention or other church function would bring the region together. I would try to make an effort to shake her hand and show my appreciation for her faithfulness, even in her latter years of life. She will be missed , but glory to God she has received her eternal reward. A place in heaven with the Father. 

This note comes to the Cooper family in the home going of Sis Cooper, I have great memories of this lady as i remember being in revival service with her when i was much younger.. Appreciate the example she was and encouragement too. To all the family, you are in my thoughts and payers during this time and will be praying for the Lord to strengthen, encourage you today and in the days ahead.

My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.  Bernice was an amazing Godly woman.  She was such an inspiration to everyone that knew her.  She will be greatly missed but she is walking streets of gold and enjoying time with Douglas and all of her loved ones that went to heaven before her.  I am so grateful that she was my aunt and for all the kind and loving things she did for me throughout my life.  I am the better for knowing her and having her in my life.  Teresa Gillette
