Betty Mae Toler Blackstock, 87, of Lynchburg passed away Saturday, February 27, 2016, at Lynchburg General Hospital. She was the wife of the late Dee Duvoy Blackstock, Sr. Born April 22, 1928, in Richmond, she was the daughter of the late Anne Blanche Toler.
Betty was a retired sales clerk for Kroger Foods, and she was a member of Grace Memorial Episcopal Church.
Betty is survived by her children, Dee Blackstock , Jr. and JoAnn Rudder Martin, both of Lynchburg; two grandchildren, Paul Vincent Martin of Gloucester and Amy Nicole Forbes and her husband Gordon Wayne, Jr. of Lynchburg; and five great grandchildren, Whitney, Abigail, Katarina, Trescella and Emmalee.
A memorial service will be conducted 11:00 a.m., Thursday, March 3, 2016, at Grace Memorial Episcopal Church with the Rev. Christine Payden-Travers officiating. Interment will be private.
The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, March 2, 2016, at Whitten Timberlake Chapel.
