A good man that would do anything for anyone went to meet the Lord. William Reed “Bill” Kelly, 62, of Rustburg passed away Thursday, February 14, 2013 at Lynchburg General Hospital. He is survived by his wife, Marsha Bays.

Born in Keokee, Virginia, March 13, 1950 he was a son of Virginia Wallace Kelly of Keokee and the late Charlie Kelly. Bill was a US Army veteran and served his country during Viet Nam. He was a member of the American Legion Post 16 and the Order of the Purple Hearts and attended Whites United Methodist Church.

In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by one son, Andy Bays of Rustburg; one sister, Sis Patterson; four brothers, Sonny Kelly, Darrell Kelly, Wayne Kelly and Jerry Kelly; one granddaughter, Chelsey Bays and two great grandchildren, Brianna Riley and Britney Neely and many, many friends.

A service will be held at his home in Rustburg at 11:00 a.m. today, Saturday, February 16, 2013 with the Rev. Paul Gillispie and the Rev. Dan Dibble officiating.
