

Born in Williamson, West Virginia, April 7, 1937, he was a son of the late Albert Perkins and Corie Woodward Perkins. He retired from the City of Lynchburg water department.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Marie Perkins; one brother, Ernest Perkins and one sister, Lois Runyon.
Survivors include his step-son, Gary Markham of Monroe, VA; two brothers, Albert Perkins and Billy Perkins and his wife Diane of Williamson, WV; seven sisters, Phyllis Gannon, Dimple Stumbo both of Williamson, Joyce Perkins of Austin, TX, Ann Blevins and husband Murl of Williamson, Loretta May and husband Ray of Limestone, TN; Helen Wolf and husband Statton of Huntington, WV; Cora Ratliff and husband John of Williamson; brother-in-law, Freddie Runyon of Williamson and a host of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at Whitten Park Avenue Chapel in Lynchburg, VA
The family will receive friends from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. Thursday, November 21, 2013 at R.E. Rogers Funeral Home in Belfrey, KY.
Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Friday, November 22, 2013 in the Collins Family Cemetery in Dans Branch, West Virginia.
