Born in Spartanburg, SC on December 12, 1944, Brenda was the daughter of the late Herbert and Lillie Mae Cook. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 46 years, Kenneth Wayne Bullman; and five siblings, Tommy Cook, James Cook, Doris Cook Epley, Donald Cook, and Anne Cook Arnold.
She is survived by her son, Scott Bullman and his wife, Jamie of Forest, VA; daughter, April Barnes of Charlotte, NC; and five grandchildren - Raven Guy, Kelsey Bullman, Piper Barnes, Cameron Bullman (and wife Kayla), and Kaylee Bullman.
Brenda was well-loved by everyone. Her charming personality with that infectious smile was her signature, and that served her well in her work. She successfully sold everything from Tupperware to family portraits to scores of HVAC maintenance agreements at Davis Services. People everywhere just loved Miss Brenda…and she genuinely loved them back. As a self-taught musician, Brenda played the church organ and sang for many years. She was a member of First Baptist Church North Spartanburg where she served faithfully in her Bible Fellowship class for over 30 years.
A service celebrating her life and faith will be conducted at 11:00 am, Thursday, May 21, 2026, at Floyd’s Greenlawn Chapel, Spartanburg, SC with Rev. Al Phillips officiating. The family will receive friends before the service from 9:30-10:45 am. She will be laid to rest in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens beside her late husband following the service.
