Brenda Troxler Paradiso

Born in Washington, D.C., Brenda was the daughter of the late William Thomas Troxler and Shirley Graham Troxler. She grew up in Laytonsville, Maryland. She was a graduate of Gaithersburg High School, Elon University, and The Catholic University of America, where she earned a master’s degree in social work. Brenda and her husband, Joseph, resided with their family in Great Falls, Virginia, for many years before relocating to Lynchburg, Virginia.

Brenda devoted much of her life to caring for and helping others. At the time of her passing, she was a social worker with Lynchburg City Schools, where she brought compassion, wisdom, and a genuine concern for the students and families she served.

Brenda loved to travel, discover new places, experience different cultures, and simply be out in the world. She was also deeply spiritual, with a quiet faith and a sense of wonder that remained a part of who she was throughout her life. Above all, Brenda loved her family and her friends. She treasured time together—conversations, laughter, adventures, and simple moments that become the memories we hold closest. She had a generous heart, a curious spirit, and a way of bringing warmth and light to the people around her.

Brenda is survived by her beloved husband, Joseph Charles Paradiso; her two daughters, Francesca Nicole Paradiso and Gianna Danielle Paradiso; her sister, Frances Ann Troxler and her husband, Harvey Hayne III; and her three brothers, William Thomas Troxler, Jr. and his wife, Debra; Harry Wesley Troxler and his wife, Donna; and John Gilbert Troxler and his wife, Fran.

In accordance with Brenda’s wishes, her family will celebrate her life in a private ceremony. The family asks that all who knew and loved Brenda celebrate her memory in their own personal way.

Take a moment to remember Brenda—the spirit she carried, the life she embraced, and the light she brought into the lives of those who were fortunate enough to know and love her.

She will be deeply missed and forever carried in our hearts.
