She was born in Lynchburg on April 25, 1949, daughter of the late Carrel L. Brooks and the late Iona Scott Brooks.
Brenda was a graduate of Ralph’s Beauty School and loved doing friends and family member’s hair. She loved Bob Ross, and was a rather accomplished painter. Brenda had a great sense of humor, and loved to laugh, as well as make others laugh. She loved the beach, lighthouses, and working with crafts. She was also a skilled bowler in the 1990’s, and a member of AMF’s 300 club.
Survivors include one child, Morgan “Brooke” Tomlinson; a sister, Robin Leonard and husband Ronnie, and a brother, Randy Brooks and wife Nancy, as well as several nieces and a nephew.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date at Whitten Timberlake Chapel.
