Born on October 19, 1972 in Lynchburg, he was the son of Burnett Allen Wilson, Jr. and Shelia Dale Phelps Wilson. Brian graduated from the Job Corp with Campbell County Public Schools and retired after 15 years of service from Liberty University in the food service department. Brian was an avid Dallas Cowboy’s fan and loved and actively participated in the Special Olympics and Challenge Sports Exchange. He was a member of the Lynchburg Regional Exchange Club, where Pam Davis was faithful to pick him up and take him to the club meetings. Brian also enjoyed singing at times with his uncle, Smokey Wilson and he was of the Baptist Faith.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Floyd Grover Phelps, Cleland Phelps, Burnett Allen Wilson, Sr. and Daisy Wilson and his aunt Nora Mays.
Brian is survived by his parents, Burnett and Sheila Dale Wilson; two brothers, Keith Wilson and wife Neesee and Christopher Wilson and wife Ashley; nephews, Allen Wilson, Cameron Wilson, and Branden Wilson; niece Elainna Wilson; aunts, Margaret Blankenship and Doris Lloyd; uncles, Smokey Wilson and wife Brenda, Richard Phelps and wife Mary and Floyd “Carol” Phelps; and numerous other family members and friends.
The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 pm on Thursday, February 21, 2019 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel.
A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Friday, February 22, 2019 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel with Minister Ray Eure officiating. Interment will follow at Liberty Cemetery in Appomattox.
