
Bruce Perry, Jr., 70, of Lynchburg, died, Thursday, May 31, 2012, at the Medical Care Center. He was the husband of Nancy Harvey Perry. Born January 19, 1942, in Lynchburg, he was the son of the late Bruce Perry, Sr. and the late Nellie Layne Perry.
Bruce was a shell finisher for the Lynchburg Foundry, and he was of the Baptist faith. Bruce was also an avid fan of the New York Yankees and the Dallas Cowboys, as well as, any activity involving his grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Bruce was preceded in death by one brother, Robert D. Perry and one sister, Mable M. Hudson.
In addition to his wife, Bruce is survived by two daughters, Sandra A. West and her husband John of Rustburg and Pamela M. Koch of Richmond; one son Robert Perry and his wife Marti of McGaheysville; two sisters, Patricia A. Page of Appomattox and Katherine A. Wilmer of Monroe; five grandchildren, Heather, Brandon, Hailey, Sydni and Madison; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be conducted, 10 a.m., Monday, June 4, 2012, at Whitten Timberlake Chapel. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Appomattox.
The family will receive friends, 3-5 p.m., Sunday, June 3, 2012, at Whitten Timberlake Chapel, and at other times at the residence.
