
Born in New Haven, CT, May 9, 1926, he was the son of the late Willard A. Gray and Dorothy Matteson Gray. Bud was a retired attorney for Nationwide Insurance Company after 28 years of service. He was a US Army veteran of WWII and was a member of Heritage United Methodist Church.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Dorothy G. Lombari and her husband Michael of Lockport, NY; one son, Burrill M. Gray, Jr. of CA; one step-son, Joseph A. Dueno of Lynchburg; three grandchildren, Lauren Malone, Kendra Dueno and Dominic Lombardi; four great grandchildren, Ethan, Tanner, Sydney and Brooklyn.
A service celebrating his life will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 14, 2015 at Heritage United Methodist Church with the Rev. Will Montgomery officiating. Interment will follow in Virginia Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1 to 2:00 p.m.
The family would like to thank the staff of Runk & Pratt and Dr. McGibbon the staff at Lynchburg General Hospital for the wonderful care and attention provided to Bud, and would also like to gratefully acknowledge the support from Rev. Will Montgomery, Sylvia Morris and Martha Smith.
