I am currently reading Dr. Olson's book Beyond Calvinism and Arminianism. I am SO grateful for the extensive, unbiased scholarly work he gave us; and his unparalleled legacy will continue forever. He has changed my life for the better. I would have liked to tell him personally, and am sorry to hear he has passed on, but perhaps someday I will have that opportunity (if I can find him among the throngs). My sincere condolences to his family. A time of rejoicing and reunion awaits you. God bless you all.

We are sad to hear of Dr. Olson`s passing and pray for his wife Dottie and family. We are at the same time confident of Gordon`s faith and homegoing to be with his and our Savior Jesus Christ.
Dr. Olson was my prof at NBC and he kindly attended my graduation meal at the Afton near Essex Fells. We have been able to keep in touch time to time as he also was a board member of our mission. We also have fond memories of his visit to our apartment in Japan during our first years there.
He will be missed by all who were privileged to know him.

Dear Family of Gordon,
You have lost a loved one and the world has lost a great Christian man. His service to the Lord Jesus has been long and wide. Many souls have benefitted from his preaching of the gospel.
Surely, many, many more have been blessed by his study of the Greek New Testament which he shared with us in his publications.
I still use his latest work on "The Resurrection New Testament" and will use it as a reference in ongoing study.
May the Lord bless and comfort you.

When I think of Gordon I smile! He is with His Lord, His Savior, Jesus who he clearly loved. What a sweet, kind, caring, friendly, compassionate, genuine, loving brother in Christ! Gordon’s eyes twinkled with Jesus love radiating out. My deepest condolences to all who held him dear, especially Dottie, and all the Wagners.
Love, The Schaefer Family

In the late 1990's Dr. Olson came for a visit to Delhi, India, and we had the privilege of having him in our home. The day after he arrived he was scheduled to speak twice, at least one of these being in Urdu. I was concerned how this would work out since it had been many years since he had been in Pakistan regularly preaching in Urdu. He did very well! The memories and advice he shared with us concerning his years in Pakistan will always be remembered. Since then we've stayed in touch and appreciated his interest and prayers for our work. I admired his humble and dedicated spirit.

Gordon, was a dear friend. When we joined International Missions in 1974, I believe, Gordon was on the board of trustees interviewing us. Later for twenty years it was my privilege to join with him in board meetings of Christar. His ten years serving in Pakistan well prepared him for serving on our board. Gordon had a keen theological mind and was a prolific author including a complete translation of the New Testament from the original Greek. Many students of his have deepened their love for the Lord and knowledge of His Word through Gordon's teaching.

We thank God for Gordon's life and ministry.

I am a cousin of Dottie. I also went to Northeastern Bible College for a few courses and Dr. Ohlson was one of my professors. It was a surprise to me when I found out that Dottie was going to marry Gordon, who had also been her professor. I went to her wedding with my sisters and I took my parents to the reception in New Jersey. Gordon and Dottie visited Gordon’s sister in New Jersey and we ate out at the Blue Fountain. I also was privileged to go to Gordon’s sister’s funeral in New Jersey. I so enjoyed the times we spent together. I was very thankful that the Lord preserved Gordon’s life and allowed him to celebrate his 90th Birthday with Dottie. Thank you Dottie and Gordon for the privilege of being your friend. Thank you Jesus for the life of Gordon Ohlson and his many wonderful contributions to the body of Christ. Love and Prayers to Dottie, Gordon’s children, and grandchildren, Jeff & Ellen Rice 💔😢🌹🥰💕❤️🙏🙏🎼the one picture I found with Gordon and Dottie was with Jim and Eileen Wagner.

Dear Dottie,

Mom and I always enjoyed the times when we would be at Captain D's at the same time as you and Gordon were, and be able to have a short visit together.
We are praying that God will give you His strength and encouragement and wisdom for all the challenges that lay ahead of you.
Love to you and your family.
