Carol Geraldine Ripley, 73, of Lynchburg, passed away, Sunday, March 2, 2014, at the Odd Fellows Home. She was the wife of the late James Walter Ripley, Sr. Born July 25, 1940, in Roanoke Rapids, NC, she was the daughter of the late Jack Ezele Bagwell and the late Mollie Evelyn Martin Bagwell.
Carol was a retired technician for Ericsson/General Electric, and a member of Thomas Road Baptist Church.
In addition to her husband and parents, Carol was preceded in death by her sister, Peggy Gunnell.
Carol is survived by her son, James Ripley, Jr. of Key West, FL and a host of nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be conducted, 11 a.m., Friday, March 7, 2014, at Spring Hill Cemetery, with the Rev. Jonathan Falwell officiating.
There will be no scheduled visitation hours, but all are welcome to visit with her at the funeral home.
